Lending a Helping Hand
Mrs. Ann Driscoll, a 1st-grade teacher at Whitman Elementary had posted a project on Donors Choose that caught the attention of the staff at Alta Vista Technology. The headline read “iPad Technology Provides Fun Effective Learning!” and being a company operating in the technology space they thought it was a perfect opportunity to give back to the community and help enrich the education of local students. The project provided iPads, cases, headphones, and a charging dock allowing the children to access educational games and interactive learning programs in an ever-expanding technology-based world.
