The full user license provides you with the most functionality within Dynamics GP. With a Full User license, you get complete, unrestricted access to Dynamics GP with full read and write capability across your entire system. This is the most common license within a company and the most expensive at $3000 per user.

The limited user will have just that, limited access to the functionality within GP. This license is generally reserved for users who perform specific certain tasks within GP but do not need the full access to the entire system. The limited user does not have full write capabilities but has full read capabilities, allowing them to run reports and look at existing journals and transactions. The Limited User License allows companies to control costs on certain employees that need access to GP, but not access to the whole system. Limited users come in at $600 per user.

Self-Serve users can only view and edit their employee information, enter their payroll and project time, and expense and create requisitions.  These users are commonly issued by organizations using the payroll and/or project accounting modules or those that utilize a paperless purchasing request system. This comes in at the cheapest price of $60 per user.
