Sage Transform 2024 Diary: Day 1

That time of year is here again (though earlier than normal) as Sage Transform 2024 has finally kicked off! As we do each year, we like to catalog our experiences during the conference, provide up-to-date news, and show everyone just how much fun you can have at a work conference!

3-2-1- Lift Off

So for background, these diaries are now written by me, Greg. And I’m in marketing so expect some flair with your accounting info.

I woke up at 4:30 am to get to the airport 2 hours early for a 4 hour and 15 minute flight to Las Vegas, Nevada. Luckily I had some great flight-mates in our Sage Intacct Practice Lead Steve Walker and our always lovely Director of Customer Success Brandee Alexander. Quick tip; if you fly Delta, you can ask your pilot for a trading card. They carry them for the different kind of planes they fly and will happily hand a few over!

Touching down in Vegas, it was a quick Uber to the MGM Grand for check-in and kick-off!

Opening With A Bang

If you were tired coming into Vegas, the Impact and Innovation session was sure to wake you up. Packed with valuable information and news, Sage really displayed their vision for the future of accounting technology. “Eliminating the monthly close” really raised some eyebrows and drew applause but the biggest focus was on generative AI with partners in AWS and Microsoft.

Sage Copilot is the next step in the evolution of Sage Intacct, giving accounting teams an AI-powered assistant that can help them with everyday tasks. But it goes even further with prediction models and active alerts, increasing teams’ accuracy and freeing up billable hours. This is a huge investment in the product that will allow businesses to reinvest the time saved back into their company and their employees.

This was a massive drop and proves the commitment Sage has to the Intacct platform and we can’t wait to explore exactly how deep this connection can go.

Let the Fun Begin

We rounded out the day talking to customers, mingling with vendors, and hanging out with some of the best people in accounting and technology before calling it a night 2 hours before I would have been awake for a full 24.

Day 1 of Sage Transform 2024 went off without a hitch and really primed us for what is to come. If day 2 is anything like the kickoff, we are in for a pretty wild ride the rest of the week!
